Mission to Marathon

I’m reading Mission to Marathon with Zac,Marcus,Ben and Federico. We finished the book, so for our final project we are doing a scene from the book. I did the same last year in year 5 with Hugo and Julia. First, we have to decide which scene to do and also have to think about bringing the equipment like swords shields armor, but fake ones. We are going to perform in front of the whole class. I think it’s going to be a little hard because we are too many people. The part I don’t like is fighting, because we want the main role. I am really looking forword to performing this scene.

Book review of “Mission To Marathon”

Mission to Marathon is a very exciting book with lots of action and has inspired me to learn more about ancient Greece and myths. My favourite character in the story is Philip because he is very brave to go all the way to marathon across the mountains to warn is family that the Persians were coming. My favourite part of the story is when the war starts and everyone is fighting because there is lots and lots of action and excitement. This a very good book and I would recommend it to anyone, overall I would give an 8/10 because I think it’s a bit too short.

Mission To Marathon

I am reading this book called Mission to Marathon. It is a very interesting book because it tells you how it was to live in ancient Greece. The book also had a lot of action in it which I like. The main character in the book is named Phillip, who travels a long way to save his village. Phillip is also kind of driven to save his village because his brothers go to war to save it as well. Phillip’s father makes statues and he is very stressed because he had to do a lot of things.

I love my new book in literature circles. It’s about a girl who got sent to a boarding school in Australia because her parents are criminals and didn’t want to influence her. There are lots of funny passages in this story and a little bit of sadness. My favourite phrase is “thoughts were running through my head faster than a mongolian dishwasher”
I hope one day you’ll read it too! It’s a great book!

Review on Private Peaceful

December 8th, 2011

In literature circle I am reading a book called Private Peaceful. This book is about a young Thommas Peaceful who experiences what it’s like during and before World War 1. This book is written by Micheal Morpurgo, I have read other books by this author and I have enjoyed the majority of them.

This book is jawdropping, every chapter there is a little surprise waiting for you to read. I highly recommend this book to people who like reading about war and sad and happy surprises.

I don’t like reading because I can never find the right book, but now the book that I’m reading in literature circles is so interesting and wish it would be thicker. (normally I wouldn’t say that!)
